We finally got to see the jellyfish at the aquarium in Baltimore! And they were wonderful!
Especially the moonjellies. Remember the Five In A Row book, Night of the Moonjellies? I posted about that back in April.
And, we got to meet Rivka from the wonderful Tinderbox blog and her two children, Alex and Colin. They were nice enough to share their aquarium member passes with us, even though we’d never met. The blogaverse is a great place. Meeting really wonderful people is truly one of the best benefits of blogging, one of the pleasantly unexpected ones, and I am so glad that the stars aligned, or at least our schedules, and we could meet Rivka and her kids.

My niece, Night Owl, along with Firefly and The Queen Bee, pedaling a dragon boat in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Wow, we are having a lot of fun on our June break. We spent an additional day exploring Baltimore. The dragon boats were a big hit. It helps to have a brother-in-law who lives not far away from the city and is willing to host a family of six. Yes, I said six. And no, we didn’t have another Creek Baby. In the summers, my terrific niece, who we hereby christen Night Owl on the blog, on account of her tendency to stay awake until the wee hours of the morning, is on break from college life and joins our family for her third summer. The Creek Kids adore having her around. We all do, really.
A few more photos from the aquarium…

Love it!! Just stumbled across your blog. I three kids, 4 (almost), 3.5, and 9 month old. We are going to home school them and I am in the process right now of trying to decide what we want to do and how we want to home school. I just read through some of your post and love some of your thoughts and views of your kids. I added you to my list of blogs to follow…hope that is ok!! Thanks!
Hi Carolynn, Thanks for your comments. All the best to you as you decide on homeschooling. However your children learn, it is a fun adventure watching those a-ha! moments. Your kids are at great ages for Five In A Row or Before Five In A Row. Check that out, if you haven’t already.
Great pictures! We had a wonderful time meeting you – I hope we can do it again sometime.
Ooh yeah. We saw that exhibit a few months ago. Jellyfish are magical, aren’t they?
Fabulous jellyfish shots!!! They are such beautiful creatures.
Just popping in from the wrap-up.
Fantastic jellyfish shots. Makes me want to plan a trip to our aquarium soon!
We’ve been to the Baltimore Aquarium (years ago)! Jellyfish are so interesting to watch (and photograph). I think I took 20+ photos of them when we went to the aquarium in Boston! LOL Stopping in from Weekly Wrap-up!
I seriously could sit and stare at jellyfish all day. They are SO cool!
Aren’t aquariums amazing?! My 2yo grandson just went to one in San Diego and to the zoo- my daughter noted that the animals at the zoo were too far away for him to be interested. But at the aquarium, he was in awe. It is an experience to be that close to those amazing animals!
I love your blog and your story of why you homeschool. It sounds like you are giving your son a great start to his years of learning.
