Thanksgiving Crafts: Play and Learn
My oldest son and I made the Native American and Pilgrim families two years ago and I just got them out again! This set has held up remarkably well for being played with by three kids and for being made from cardboard toilet paper rolls and construction paper.
The additional materials placed in jars are just things I had on hand. You can use anything that goes with the theme. Going outside to collect some natural items was a great addition as well.
We used cinnamon sticks, pumpkin-shaped table scatter, cloth leaves, rocks and a mini-pumpkin. The sticks with the white pom-poms are for roasting marshmallows over the fire, via special request from my daughter.
